Caroline Kilel of Kenya holds off American to win

Caroline Kilel of Kenya held off a surging Desiree Davila as the two dueled on Boylston Street and Kilel won the Boston Marathon in 2:22:36.
    Davila, an Arizona State graduate, trains with the Hanson-Brooks team in Minnesota.She finished in 2:22:38 and Sharon Cherop was third (2:22:42).
    Kilel, 30, ran her personal best time. Her previous best was 2:23:25 in Frankfurt, Germany last year. She collapsed after the race and was helped into the medical tent.
   "It's a little both [disappointing and happy]," Davila said on TV after the race. "That was my perfect day out there and she was just better than me, There was nothing left in my legs."
